AEW and CM Punk Reportedly at Odds Ahead of AEW Collision

A rift has allegedly surfaced between AEW and CM Punk, which could potentially impact the upcoming AEW Collision. CM Punk was slated to feature in the premier episode on June 17 in Chicago but was removed from promotional materials due to a disagreement about the potential return of Ace Steel.

The contention arose from the condition that Steel would not physically attend tapings but would participate remotely. Commenting on the situation, Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer Radio shared Warner Bros Discovery’s optimistic stance that reconciliation is achievable before the weekly show’s debut.

However, the current uncertainty raises questions about the venue choice—whether to proceed with the booked United Center without Punk or consider an alternative arena.
