AEW Scraps Match Originally Scheduled for Double or Nothing

The much-anticipated clash between Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland at AEW’s Double or Nothing has been withdrawn. The duo, who split in December 2022, were set to face off in a singles match on May 28. However, the match was not officially announced, and both wrestlers were seen in the closing brawl at the recent Rampage taping.
Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer suggests that the pair will now be part of the Blackjack Battle Royale for the AEW International Championship.
The reason behind AEW’s decision to drop the Lee-Strickland match remains unclear, but speculation hints at a possible rescheduling for the All In event on August 27.
