Charlotte Flair reveals when she became aware she would win the title from Ronda Rousey

While appearing on Ryan Satin’s podcast, Charlotte Flair opened up about her time away from WWE for several months in 2022 after losing the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania Backlash.

Flair returned on the December 30 edition of SmackDown to defeat Rousey for the title. Flair noted that he learned he would return to TV by Christmas.

“Right around Christmas. I really wanted to come back on Survivor Series, but I was in recovery. So he said, ‘don’t force it. ’ I got the green light the week of New Years,” she said.

Flair revealed that he didn’t know he was going to win the title until the day of SmackDown:

“I didn’t know I was going to win the title until I got there. I didn’t even have my equipment. But when I got there they said, ‘You need your gear’.”
