CM Punk Reportedly Pushing AEW for Ace Steel’s Return

Ace Steel was one of the names that was involved in the famous backstage mess of AEW All Out 2022, which ended up keeping CM Punk away from the rings until the present day and causing the suspension of all members of The Elite. In Steel’s case, he was eventually fired.

Despite the dismissal, Steel has always remained loyal to Punk, implying that the “Second City Saint” was always right in the above controversy.

Well, with the announcement of AEW Collision and Punk’s imminent return to the ring with Tony Khan’s company, sources claim that the fighter is putting pressure on Steel to be rehired. Mike Johnson, from PW Insider, reports that this matter may be bringing up a new disagreement between Punk and AEW, as the company has no intention of bringing the fighter back.

This disagreement involving Punk and AEW may have put you off any of Collision’s promotional material, which was announced today. Punk would have been replaced by the AEW World Champion, MJF.

With that, the possibility or not of a return of Punk is up in the air again, since AEW does not seem to go back on the subject, and should not rehire Steel, who should sign with IMPACT Wrestling very soon.
