CM Punk’s AEW Plans Prior to Disagreement Revealed

Before a recent disagreement resulted in his absence from promotional material, CM Punk was projected to be AEW Collision’s lead star on June 17th. The promotion intended to reinstate Punk as the top act, followed by a storyline with Samoa Joe, as per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Future plans also involved rekindling the Punk-MJF rivalry, this time for the AEW World Championship. However, it remains unclear whether these plans will proceed if the issues are resolved by the event date.

Earlier, Punk and MJF locked horns on AEW TV from November 2021 to March 2022, and they currently hold one win each in their head-to-head record.
