Cody Rhodes reveals what ruined AEW

Former AEW wrestler Cody Rhodes recently shared his thoughts on the infamous All Out post-media scrum brawl, which saw CM Punk and The Elite stripped of their respective titles and suspended. While Rhodes refused to point fingers, he took the incident to heart and hated seeing how it all went down.
“There were some people texting me, ‘Man, you’re the smartest guy in the room. And I wanted to write back, ‘F.U. man.’ I don’t feel that way. I feel this thing we built got damaged.”
“I don’t want that to be erased. I don’t want that to go away,” he declared. “I was just bummed out when I saw it. That’s not how we envisioned it.”
Rhodes hopes AEW continues to grow and provide opportunities for more wrestlers, and building an alternative wrestling promotion is just as important to him as winning the World Title or Royal Rumble.
Rhodes has made a triumphant return at the 2023 Royal Rumble and will face Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 39.
