Fallon Henley and Kiana James win NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship
New NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions were crowned.
Fallon Henley and Kiana James are the new NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions, defeating Katana Chance and Kayden Carter at NXT Vengeance Day.
The submission saw Henley catch Carter in a Gedo Clutch Pin with James holding Carter’s legs so she couldn’t escape.
James and Henley, former opponents who became champions, celebrated with Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs after the match.
This marks the first reign as NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions for both Henley and James. Chance and Carter were the longest reigning champions in history, holding the titles for 186 days. They won the vacant titles on the August 2 episode of NXT, when they defeated Ivy Nile & Tatum Paxley, Toxic Attraction (Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne) and Valentina Feroz & Yulisa Leon. They have made five successful title defenses.
