Coverage: IMPACT! (04/13/2023)

This Thursday night, AXS TV will broadcast another brand new episode of IMPACT!, direct from the St. Clair College in Windsor, Canada.
Check out the highlights from IMPACT Wrestling for tonight’s show below:
- Mickie James will reveal tonight if he will be physically fit to compete at Rebellion, defending the IMPACT Knockouts Championship!
- Kenny King and Frank Kazarian will face off, where the winner will give their team an advantage in Rebellion’s Hardcore War Match!
- For the knockouts division, Gisele Shaw will face Tasha Steelz!

Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt welcome the audience to the show.
Singles Match: Frankie Kazarian (w/ Team Dreamer) vs. Kenny King (w/ Team Ray)
– After interference from Brian Myers and Moose, King won via pinfall.
After the match, Team Bully Ray attacks Team Dreamer.
Steve Maclin takes the stage to cut a promo telling the crowd that they are looking at the next IMPACT World Champion. KUSHIDA appears from behind and the two start hitting each other until they reach the ring. At that moment, Maclin manages to free himself to grab a chair, but the Japanese fighter reacts and continues the battle until IMPACT security appears to calm the situation.
4-Way Match: Black Taurus (w/ Crazzy Steve) vs. Laredo Kid vs. Lynx Dorado vs. Rich Swann
– Kid won with a “Diving Spanish Fly” on Taurus.
JesSICKa and Rosemary are talking next to the casket that Taya Valkyrie was in a few weeks ago. Rosemary decides to open the coffin, but there is no one inside.
Singles Match: IMPACT Knockouts World Tag Team Champion Taylor Wilde (w/ KiLynn King) vs. JesSICKa (w/ Rosemary)
– Wilde won with a “Roll-up”.
Alisha cuts a backstage promo with Eddie Edwards and claims that when Eddie puts the past behind her, she can come back to him. After that, Edwards threatens PCO again before this Sunday’s fight at Rebellion.
Tag Team Match: IMPACT Digital Media Champion Joe Hendry and Dirty Dango vs. Angels and Callihan (w/ The Design)
– Hendry and Dango won with a “Standing Ovation” on Angels.
After the match, Kon, Callihan and Deaner come to the ring to attack the winners until Santino Marella steps in and distracts them, allowing Hendry and Dango to recover and attack The Design. Marella goes up to the ring and hits Angels with a Cobra.
Bully Ray talks backstage about how he wants to take down Tommy Dreamer’s team in Rebellion. Ray states that if Tommy believes that what happened to him at Sacrifice was bad, then wait for what his team will do to him this Sunday.
Singles Match: Gisele Shaw (w/ Jai Vidal) vs. Tasha Steelz
– Steelz won with a “Fire”.
Mickie James chats with Santino Marella before stepping into the ring to announce whether or not he will be in Rebellion. James reveals that he just finished talking to the doctors and prepares to leave.
James comes out to the ring and starts talking about the ‘Last Rodeo’ and her goal of showing that she could keep up with the rest and be the champion. Mickie admits that when he’s in the ring and in front of the fans he feels like he’s 20 years old, but when he goes backstage he realizes that it’s not like that and the pain is very present. James thanks the fans for all their support and announces that he cannot compete in IMPACT Rebellion this Sunday and Deonna Purrazzo and Jordynne Grace will have to challenge for the title on Sunday.
