IMPACT! (05/11/2023) – Full Coverage and Result!

This Thursday night, AXS TV will broadcast another unprecedented episode of IMPACT Wrestling directly from Cicero Stadium in Chicago, Illinois.

The highlight of the show is Steve Maclin defending the IMPACT World Championship against Rhino. Deonna Purrazzo and Jordynne Grace will challenge The Coven for the IMPACT Knockouts World Tag Team Titles, and Nick Aldis will return to the IMPACT ring against Sheldon Jean.

Coverage:

Singles Match: Masha Slamovich vs. Killer Kelly
– Masha rolls Kelly for won the match.

Meanwhile, Kenny King squares up to Sheldon Jean in the locker room, right before Jean’s bout with Aldis.

Simultaneously, Gia Miller is in the middle of a revealing interview with Trinity.

Singles Match: Nick Aldis x Sheldon Jean
– Aldis locks in thee clover leaf for the win.

Backstage, Dirty Dango and Joe Hendry find themselves interrupted by Johnny Swinger and Zicky Dice. Hendry seeks answers about Swinger’s initial victory being overruled by Santino, and the subsequent assault on Santino. In response, Dango throws down the gauntlet, challenging Swinger to a match later tonight. With a call to Santino, the match is officially on the books.

In a separate setting, Gia Miller is in the midst of Part 3 of her sit-down interview with Frankie Kazarian. Clips of Kazarian seizing the X-Division title and invoking Option C are displayed. Miller probes if the world title remains on Kazarian’s radar. Kazarian admits that at that point, it was his only shot, and he fell short against Josh Alexander. However, he confirms that the world title remains a target. Miller highlights the numerous wrestlers Kazarian has assisted this year alone. Kazarian admits that the title never strays far from his thoughts. His aim is to boost others and remain professional, helping to elevate the company to its potential zenith. This, he declares, is his legacy.

Tag Team Match: Decay vs. The Good Hands
– Skyler pins Taurus for the win.

Singh and Shera are trying to convince Steve Maclin backstage, but he’s angry at them for letting him down. Maclin ends their business partnership, but Singh comes up with a plan. Soon after, they’re seen assaulting Heath while security attempts to step in. Rhino, whose match is about to start, is furious.

World Title Match: Steve Maclin (c) vs. Rhino
– Maclin manages to hit a Gore on Rhino to retain.

After the match, Maclin is going after Rhino even after the match is over. He’s using a chair to hit Rhino’s left leg and doesn’t stop until security jumps in.

During a break, Scott D’Amore says he’ll see Rhino at the hospital while Rhino’s being put into an ambulance. There’s some argument between Maclin and D’Amore before PCO steps in. D’Amore sets up a No DQ match between Maclin and PCO at Under Siege.

Meanwhile, Joe Hendry gives a speech about his nose being knocked off to the left, but he’s still happy to be in Chicago. Dango and Swinger are getting ready to hit the ring for their match.

Singles Match: Dirty Dango vs. Johnny Swinger
– Dango hits a Falcon Arrow for the win.

Deaner’s busy laying into Callihan for his backstabbing antics. Meanwhile, Sami and Swann are pulling a fast one, using yellow sweatshirts as a disguise to ambush The Design.

Moose is having a serious chat with Myers about him lending a hand to Good Hands. Moose is telling Myers to get his act together, but Myers responds that he’s got plans to turn them into the next tag champs.

In other news, the Under Siege event just got a new match: Nick Aldis will be squaring off against Kenny King.

Tag Team Titles: The Coven (c) vs. Deonna Purrazzo & Jordynne Grace
– The Coven used a tag team move and won the match.

The Coven is laying into Grace pretty hard until Trinity rushes in for the save. King tries to pull Trinity off Wilde, but ends up eating a Rear View. Trinity’s standing tall, staring down Jordynne from across the ring, before they share a respectful handshake. The show wraps up with Trinity in full celebration mode.
