Kazuchika Okada vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi announced for NJPW Battle in the Valley
Kazuchika Okada defending the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against Hiroshi Tanahashi was added to NJPW Battle in the Valley.
After defeating Shingo Takagi at The New Beginning in Osaka on Saturday to retain the title, Okada issued a challenge to Tanahashi, who was at ringside on commentary. Tanahashi entered the ring for a promo and agreed to the match.
Early in the event, Tanahashi defeated KENTA, setting the stage for the post-main event challenge.
