Madusa Accuses Trish Stratus of Setting Women’s Division Back
WWE Hall of Famer Madusa recently leveled a sharp critique at Trish Stratus, accusing her of undoing progress in the women’s division. Trish returned to WWE a few months ago, aiding Lita and Becky Lynch in capturing the Women’s Tag Team Championship.
However, Madusa expressed her dissatisfaction with Trish’s comeback on Twitter. She claimed that Trish’s actions have regressed the women’s division, overshadowing the efforts Madusa put in to build respect and legitimacy for women in wrestling. “Trish has set the women back and turned them into a sideshow,” Madusa stated, adding that her own efforts were for “longevity and meaning,” unlike Trish’s approach, which according to her, led to a blueprint that needed undoing.
