Ronda Rousey set to return to WWE SmackDown tonight

According to multiple reports, former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion, Ronda Rousey, is set to make her return to WWE tonight on SmackDown in Uncasville, Connecticut. PWInsider reported that Rousey was spotted in Connecticut, suggesting her presence at SmackDown, while Fightful Select added that creative pitches for Rousey’s return have already been made.

Rousey has been absent from WWE TV since her loss to Charlotte Flair on December 30th, but rumors of her return have been circulating for some time. She was previously advertised for the RAW 30th Anniversary special, but her name was removed from the list just a week before the event.

Wrestling fans are speculating that Rousey and Shayna Baszler will challenge WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Dakota Kai and IYO SKY, at WrestleMania 39, but there has been no official word on what their plans might be for WWE Elimination Chamber on February 18th.
