WrestleMania 39: John Cena vs. Austin Theory will open the first night

WWE has confirmed that the opening match for WrestleMania 39 on Saturday will be John Cena versus Austin Theory for the United States Championship. The event will take place next weekend and will once again be a two-night event.

Cena recently returned to WWE programming and was challenged by Theory to a match on the Grandest Stage of Them All. The decision to have Cena, who has spent many years working in the main event at WrestleMania, open the show is a significant one.
