WWE Planning Heel Turn for Asuka

In a significant development, WWE might be contemplating a pivotal role transformation for Asuka. As per a recent PWInsider report, there’s an ongoing proposition to reshape Asuka into a villainous character on the SmackDown circuit. A match-up between Asuka and RAW Women’s Champion, Bianca Belair, at the Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia has also been proposed.

Post her draft to SmackDown, Asuka has made appearances in non-televised live bouts but hasn’t grappled on TV since her loss to Belair at WrestleMania 39. Tonight’s SmackDown in Belair’s hometown, Knoxville, Tennessee, could potentially mark Asuka’s heel turn.

The fate of the women’s titles remains uncertain after the draft moved SmackDown Women’s Champion, Rhea Ripley to RAW, and Belair to SmackDown.
